I Survived- It’s time to Thrive !

Victim – Victor ! Survivor – Surviving ! Surviving – THRIVING !!

We all at some point in our life had challenging moments. The greatest victory is how we bounce back. The many lessons learnt, life experience, which is the wisdom gained and what we do going forward. I always asked for wisdom, knowledge and understanding.Myquest was to find my greater, true self and fulfill my purpose. Being a domestic violence survivor, who also survived the child welfare system in New York City as in living a life with intent, I gained a wealth of knowledge and from it I found myself and purpose.

Surviving to Thriving is about making the transition from simply being able to survive to being able to live the life you truly want, where you feel truly alive. To thrive is about taking control of your own life and becoming proactive and intentional with the decisions you make. It is about creating meaningful, healthy relationships and experiencing true contentment. Thriving involves finding fulfillment through meaningful work and hobbies, embracing healthy habits, and discovering your true purpose. Finding the higher version of yourself will take some real soul searching This transition will lead to a more, fulfilling, authentic, and joyful life. We are here to enjoy this human experience and we all are looking for the same thing- to be Happy. With wisdom, knowledge and understanding which will be your navigation. Going the right direction, good support, and preserving, you can go from surviving to thriving!

These are few tips to a “thriving” you:

  1. Find meaningful work:- Find a job or create business that aligns with your values and career interests. Doing something that you are passionate about will give you a sense of purpose, accomplishment, and fulfillment in life. It will not feel like work because you enjoy what you do.
  2. Pursue hobbies:- Spending time activities that make you feel happy, engaged, and stimulated can bring a sense of joy and purpose to your days and help you build healthy relationships.
  3. Create healthy habits:- Develop healthy habits to support a positive outlook, such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, getting enough sleep, and self-care routines.
  4. Be honest with yourself:- Get in touch with your true purpose.Spend time reflecting on what brings you the most joy and fulfillment. You may have to look in the mirror and talk to yourself, engage with others in meaningful conversations, or discovering new ambitions.
  5. Take action:- Once you have identified your purpose, start taking consistent, purposeful actions to align your life around it. This could include, mentoring, volunteering, taking courses, or other activities. You will be amazed at how these things will just appear to you.
  6. Build relationships:- Your support system will keep you motivated and accountable, and nourish your relationship with positive conversations.
  7. Persevere:- The transition from surviving to thriving is a process. It is not a quick fix. Persevere and be patient with yourself in this loving process.
  8. Thrive:- Appreciate the small things in life, develop meaningful goals and realize your full potential. Celebrate the successes you have and enjoy each momentEach person’s journey is different .What’s important is to take action, discover the true you, be persistent and enjoy the process of thriving. It is not about some faraway unattainable goals.It is about the journey of self -fulfillment and appreciation for all the small moments that make life meaningful. Thriving is a process, adventure, and an opportunity to discover yourself, others and the universe. So get up , take action and don’t just live – you gotta Thrive !

Each person’s journey will be different. What’s important is to take the steps, be persistent and enjoy your journey – the process of thriving. To live a fulfilling life,which is to thrive, is not far fetch or an unattainable goal. It is about the journey of self-fulfillment and appreciation for even the smallest moments that make life so meaningful.
